- There is a bank surcharge for all applications lodged at all Australian Visa Application Centres.
- Payment can also be made at any immigration office in Australia. The receipt should then be presented with the application.
- Credit card payment can be made by entering the details on the application form. Payment must be made in Australian dollars and with Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners or JCB.
NOTE: Payment at the immigration counter in Nairobi is only for a selected type of application. Acceptable currencies at the Nairobi post are Kenya shillings and USA dollars only. If you are mailing your documents please do not send cash in the mail.
If paying by credit card in Australian dollars you may incur banking and currency conversion fees and you accept the risk associated with any currency fluctuations.
Where you are unable to pay by credit card or one of our Visa Application Centres, an alternative option is for arrangements to be made with a third party in Australia to pay the visa fee. A holding record would subsequently be made until a visa application was made and sent to the Australian High Commission. For more information please visit www.border.gov.au.
