High Commissioner H.E. Geoff Tooth Opens Inaugural GRIP Student Leadership Conference

HIGH COMMISSIONER H.E. GEOFF TOOTH OFFICIALLY OPENS INAUGURAL GRIP STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

GRIP Leadership Pty Ltd, an Australian values driven student leadership development organisation, successfully launched the inaugural student leadership conference in Kenya on 15 September 2014, that saw over 15 high schools participate. Over 1000 students discussed their roles as leaders in school, in their community and the country. High Commissioner H.E. Geoff Tooth opened the conference and spoke about the contribution of Australia to the development of leadership in Kenya and said that a strong well-rounded education system was necessary to meet the growing economic needs of the country. GRIP’s goal is to develop leadership skills, capabilities and competencies amongst young people so that they can be a positive influence on those around them.
